Winter Is Coming – Will You Be Ready?

Winter activities in Quebec are plentiful, but they are made extra special when you experience them while staying in one of our cabins or campsites.

From snowshoeing through the beautiful Quebec landscape as a family to cross-country skiing with your special someone, winter adventures in Quebec await you! Join Au Diable Vert and stay in our cabins, campsites, or mountain-view suites, and you'll have the perfect gateway to adventure at your front door.

Snowshoeing

Snowshoeing is the most common way for our guests to get around in the winter. Whether you rent with us or bring your own, snowshoeing is a great way to explore the trails, and the most convenient method to get around near your cabin or go to the outhouse.

Snowshoe Rental Prices:

  • One Day: Adult – $10 | Child – $5
  • Weekend: Adult – $15 | Child – $8
  • Week: Adult - $35 | Child – $15

Cross Country/ Hok Skiing

You are always welcome on all the Au Diable Vert trails with your skis. Approximately 85% of the terrain around our park is accessible on skis. There are lots of hills, making it not the ideal terrain for the beginner skier. Depending on conditions, we track set between 3 and 6 km of winding trails through the forest trails and 1-2 kms of trails on the open pasture.

Day Access Pass Prices:

  • Adult -$4,39
  • Kids - Free

Back Country/Telemark

Many guests come with wider skis and tougher boots and bindings. Au Diable Vert is perched at 1,000’ and is a good, but mostly challenging (tightly treed) terrain. The exception is a local secret which is an underground oil pipeline that crosses the Sutton mountains. A 100'-wide by 3,000'-long section awaits all skiers, approximately 45 minutes from the Auberge.

Day Access Pass Prices:

  • Adult -$4,39
  • Kids - Free

Sledding & Skating

Bring your sleds and crazy carpets, because you have never seen hills like these! Many different areas on the open pasture are good for sliding. Be careful however, as there are obstacles at the bottom of almost every hill, so be sure to slow down well before you reach an obstacle.

Skating is offered on our pond, though conditions can be challenging with the amount of snow we receive. There are no guarantees on skating in the pond, but you can visit a free outdoor rink in Abercorn or Sutton.
