Au Diable Vert

Who We Are

Au Diable Vert is an unusual concept in the world of outfitters, but a concept that proves more and more popular and relevant each year.

Instead of just a fishing rod or gun, our guests have the chance to appreciate nature and the spectacular view of the Appalachian and Green mountains, with binoculars, camera, hiking poles, a kite or hand-in-hand with a loved one.

Facilitating the Quebec wilderness experience, no matter what the season, is what we strive to do better and better each year.  From our location, one of the only plateaus in the Sutton mountain range, Au Diable Vert is perched between the summits of Round Top and Jay Peak.

A broad range of comfortable accommodations offer something for everyone.  Guests can choose from one of three of our luxurious mountain view suites, or one of 25 rustic four-season cabins, including several perched high in the trees or extending over rock cliffs.  Another reason for our success is our ability to offer something for every taste and every budget.

With accommodations between 100 meters and 1 kilometers from the reception, while each feels very remote and secluded, they are all very accessible, even for those who not very 'outdoorsy' or those with young children in tow.

Our people-powered activities include hiking, snowshoeing and skiing on our 12 kms of private trails, or a longer excursion on the Sentier de l’Estrie, towards Lac Mohawk, one of many local summits or the adjacent reserve naturelle des montagnes Vertes.  Calm water kayaking, guided moonlight kayaking, stand up paddle boards, river tubing and a giant inflatable slide almost 100 feet long.  Of course, numerous other local pursuits always ensure guests are as entertained as possible!

Another interesting activity launched in 2013: VeloVolant is a pedal-propelled canopy cable ride that slowly allows visitors to glimpse forest life from above.  A Canadian first, and only the third in the world!
